Multiple teeth · implant bridges
Replace several missing teeth with fewer implants than you think
An implant-supported bridge restores 2–4 missing teeth in a row — natural-looking, permanent, and gentler on your remaining healthy teeth than a traditional bridge.
When to consider an implant bridge
- Two, three, or four missing teeth in a row.
- Your remaining natural teeth are healthy and you don’t want them shaped down for a traditional bridge.
- You want a permanent solution rather than a removable partial denture.
- You have enough bone to support the implants — or you’re willing to do a small bone graft first.
How it works
Two implants are placed at the ends of the gap. The implants serve as anchors for a custom-fabricated bridge spanning the missing teeth in between. Once the bone has fused to the implants (about 3–4 months), the bridge is screwed or cemented onto them, and the result is a permanent, natural-feeling row of teeth.
The process step by step
- Consultation + CBCT scan — we evaluate the bone, plan the implant positions, and discuss alternatives.
- Implant placement (one visit, ~90–120 minutes) — fully numb. Both implants placed at once when possible.
- Healing (3–4 months) — quiet period while the bone fuses to the implants.
- Abutments + impressions — abutments attached, impressions sent to the lab for custom bridge fabrication.
- Bridge delivery — custom porcelain bridge fitted, adjusted, and secured. Bite checked.
Common questions
Frequently asked
- Do I need one implant per missing tooth?
- Not necessarily. For two or three teeth in a row, we can often place two implants and bridge between them — fewer surgeries, lower cost, same long-term result.
- How is this different from a traditional bridge?
- A traditional bridge anchors to your natural teeth, which means shaping (and slightly weakening) the healthy neighbors. An implant-supported bridge stands on its own implants, so your remaining natural teeth stay untouched.
- Will it look natural?
- Yes. Each replacement tooth is custom shaped and shade-matched to your other teeth. From a conversation distance, well-made implant bridges are indistinguishable from natural teeth.
- How long does the process take?
- Plan on 5–7 months total for most cases. Implant placement is a single visit; healing (3–4 months) lets the bone fuse to the implants; then the final bridge is fabricated and delivered over a couple of visits.
- What if some of my missing teeth are not next to each other?
- Then you may need separate implants for each gap, or a combination of single implants and small bridges. We map this out at the consultation using a 3D CBCT scan.
- How much does it cost?
- Multi-tooth implant cases vary widely. A typical 3-unit implant bridge runs $7,000–$12,000 depending on the location, materials, and any bone grafting needed. We provide a written estimate after the CBCT scan, and we offer financing through CareCredit and Sunbit.
