For parents of Liberty students
A dental home for your student, ten minutes from campus
You're paying the bills from another state and want your student cared for well. Here's what your insurance covers, how billing works, and how to get them set up, without the guesswork.
Sending your student to Liberty means trusting a lot of things to people you haven't met yet. Their dental care shouldn't be a worry. We're a family practice about ten minutes from campus, and we treat students the way we'd want ours treated, honestly, gently, and without upselling.
Will your insurance work here?
In most cases, yes. We're in-network with Delta Dental Premier, Cigna, and United Concordia, and we file most other plans as out-of-network, which still applies your benefits. Send us the plan details and we'll verify coverage and give you the real out-of-pocket number before anything happens. You can read more on our insurance page.
How billing works from a distance
We go over costs before we begin, so you're never surprised by a bill. You can take care of payment by phone, and we're happy to talk the numbers through with you directly even though your student is the one in the chair. For anything larger, financing can turn a lump sum into manageable monthly payments. Our financial policy page lays out the details.
If your student has no dental insurance
Consider the Virginia Dental Club. For $279 a year it covers two cleanings, two exams, and routine X-rays, plus 20 percent off anything else, with no deductibles, claim forms, or waiting periods. For a student, it's usually the simplest and cheapest way to keep up with care and head off bigger problems.
Getting them set up
Book a first visit online, or call us at 540-315-3725 and we'll handle the rest, verify benefits, answer your questions, and find a time that fits their class schedule. If your student needs wisdom-tooth care or ever has a dental emergency, we handle both here, so they always have somewhere to turn.

Common questions
Frequently asked
- We're out of state. Will our dental insurance work in Virginia?
- Usually, yes. We're in-network with Delta Dental Premier, Cigna, and United Concordia, and we file most other plans as out-of-network, which still applies your benefits. Give us your plan details and we'll verify coverage and tell you the real out-of-pocket cost before any treatment.
- How does billing work when I'm paying from another state?
- We verify benefits up front and go over costs before we begin, so there are no surprises. You can handle payment by phone, and we're glad to talk the numbers through with you directly even when your student is the one in the chair. For larger treatment, financing can spread it into monthly payments.
- My student doesn't have dental insurance. What's the best option?
- The Virginia Dental Club, our in-house membership. It's $279 a year and covers two cleanings, two exams, and routine X-rays, plus 20 percent off anything else. For a student without insurance it's typically the least expensive way to stay on top of preventive care and avoid bigger bills later.
- How do I get my student set up if they can't remember the last time they went?
- Just book a first visit online or call us at 540-315-3725. We'll do a thorough exam, catch anything that needs attention, and build a simple plan. You're welcome to be on the phone for the visit summary so you hear our recommendations directly.
- How will I know what's going on from far away?
- With your student's okay, we keep you in the loop, findings, recommendations, and costs. We know you're the one making the call from a distance, and we treat that the way we'd want to be treated if it were our own kid at school.
