Invisalign cost · transparent pricing
What it costs, what insurance covers, and how to pay for it
No bait-and-switch. We quote your full Invisalign cost in writing at the consultation — and walk through every financing option so you can decide on a plan that fits your budget.
Typical price ranges
- $3,500–$4,500 — Invisalign Express / Lite. Mild crowding, minor relapse, small gaps. 6–9 months of treatment with fewer aligners.
- $4,500–$6,000 — Invisalign Moderate. Most adult cases land here. Moderate crowding, bite correction, 12–18 months of treatment.
- $6,000–$7,500 — Invisalign Comprehensive. Complex cases with significant movement, full-mouth alignment, multiple refinement sets. 18–24+ months of treatment.
Ways to pay
- Insurance first. We submit to your dental insurance for the orthodontic benefit. Most plans cover 50% of the cost up to a lifetime max of $1,000–$2,500.
- HSA / FSA. Invisalign is eligible for both. Stretches your pre-tax dollars.
- In-house payment plans. 0% interest, no credit check, typically 6–12 months. Used by many of our patients who want a predictable monthly payment.
- CareCredit. 6, 12, 18, or 24-month financing options with 0% for qualifying plans.
- Sunbit. Soft credit check, instant approval, longer-term plans up to 60 months.
- Virginia Dental Club. Members get 20% off Invisalign — often more savings than insurance brings.
What we won’t do
Quote you a low number and pile on add-ons later. The price you see at the consultation is the price you pay, even if treatment takes an extra month or you need a refinement set. We’d rather give you a fair quote up front than win you over with a low number that grows.
Common questions
Frequently asked
- What does Invisalign cost in Lynchburg?
- Most adult cases run $3,500–$7,000 in our area. Teen cases land in the same range. Mild cases that need fewer aligners are at the lower end; complex full-mouth cases with refinements are at the higher end. We give you a fixed written quote at the consultation — no surprise add-ons.
- Does insurance cover Invisalign?
- Many dental plans cover Invisalign at the same rate as traditional braces — often 50% up to a lifetime orthodontic maximum (typically $1,000–$2,500). We verify your specific benefit before quoting your out-of-pocket cost.
- Can I finance it?
- Yes. We offer 0% in-house monthly payment plans (no credit check needed for shorter terms), and longer-term financing through CareCredit and Sunbit with rates often as low as 0% for qualifying terms. Many patients pay $150–$300/month rather than a lump sum.
- Is there an HSA / FSA option?
- Yes. Invisalign is HSA- and FSA-eligible. Many patients combine HSA/FSA dollars with monthly financing to keep the out-of-pocket cost manageable.
- What does the price include?
- All aligners (the initial set + refinements as needed), all check-in visits, attachments, the digital scans, and your final set of retainers. The price we quote at the start is the price you pay, even if treatment runs slightly longer than expected.
- Are there cheaper aligner options online?
- Yes, mail-order aligners cost less up front but skip the in-person clinical exam, x-rays, and the ongoing supervision that catches problems before they become serious. We’ve treated patients who started with mail-order companies and developed bite issues that ultimately cost more to fix than full Invisalign would have.
