Porcelain veneers · custom-shaped
The smile you've been thinking about, designed to fit your face
Custom porcelain shells that change shape, color, and alignment — designed with you, previewed before anything is permanent.
What veneers can address
- Deep stains that don't lift with professional whitening.
- Chipped or worn front teeth from grinding, age, or impact.
- Small gaps between front teeth that have always bothered you.
- Minor alignment issues when orthodontics isn't the right fit.
- Misshapen or undersized teeth that pull the eye away from your smile.
The design process
- Plan together. We talk through what you want — and what you don't. Old photos, reference smiles, and your sense of what looks natural for your face all factor in.
- Preview the result. Before any enamel is touched, we mock up the new shape on your teeth so you can see and approve the final look.
- Prepare and impress. A thin layer of enamel is shaped, impressions are taken, and temporary veneers protect your teeth while the lab fabricates the porcelain.
- Bond the final veneers. Two weeks later, we try them in, make any small adjustments, and bond them in place.
Common questions
Frequently asked
- What's a veneer?
- A thin shell of dental porcelain bonded to the front of your tooth. Veneers cover stains, chips, gaps, and minor alignment issues — without altering the shape of the tooth underneath very much.
- How many veneers will I need?
- Most cosmetic veneer cases involve the 6 or 8 most visible front teeth. Some patients only need 2–4 to address a specific concern. We'll plan it together based on what bothers you and what shows when you smile.
- Is it permanent?
- Veneers require a thin layer of enamel to be removed so they bond properly — that part is permanent. The veneers themselves typically last 10–15 years before they need to be replaced. They don't go back to your original teeth.
- Will they look fake?
- Not when they're designed well. We plan the shape, length, and shade so they fit your face — not someone else's idea of a perfect smile. You can preview the final result before any tooth is touched, using a mock-up in your mouth.
- How long does the process take?
- Two to three visits over 2–4 weeks. First visit: planning, preview, and impressions. Lab makes the veneers (about 2 weeks). Second visit: try-in and bonding. We've usually done the math so each visit is comfortable, not rushed.
- Do they stain?
- Porcelain is non-porous and very resistant to staining. Coffee, tea, and red wine don't dull veneers the way they dull enamel. But the natural teeth beside them can still discolor, so cleanings stay important.
